ANALYSIS OF A PUBLIC SOCIAL POLICY

This article has as its object of study the Programa Jovem Aprendiz, whose creation was a federal government initiative with the objective of providing young people with technical and professional training, with a view to facilitating their entry into the labor market. The text seeks to analyze the Program, its implementation and the conception of the proposed training, in addition to understanding the work situation of young people in the current context. With a qualitative approach, the study was developed through documentary research, including statistical data and related legislation, especially Law No. 10,097/2000. The study makes evident the Program's limitations in terms of meeting the demand and the weaknesses with regard to the conception of the training process.
